How accurate are those GPS running watches (and presumably bike computers as well)? The answer may surprise you.

I recently got a TomTom Cardio Runner, which ranks middle-of-the-pack there, and have been very impressed with the GPS accuracy in San Francisco which can be challenging due to hills and, in places, large buildings. In fact I'm half-way regretting I didn't get the multipart version to replace the present use of my Garmin 500, which has its issues.
