Anyone else a cycling socks fan?

I am looking for a nice thin pair of sock, ideally long ones but not super long, think castelli 12 cm socks or something similar. I like the sportful ones but they are hard to find here in North Am. I like the long socks but there seem to but medium cuff length which are nice too, like the castelli 9cm socks, but I don't know how they look when wearing them on. I have some defeet aireator high top but they get loose quite rapidly.

What are you guys suggestions for a thin, decently long socks?

What I have in mind is like this:

Pearl izumi elite tall socks are good. I jut picked up a pack of five on ebay. And mec has some too. Nice and tall, especially if you have long legs. They are cheap too.

I was also going to suggest Pearl Izumi. I sure love mine and they also have them in wool for the cold days

Defeet socks are nice, never had any durability issues with mine, but most if not all socks lose their "lustre" and clear colour after some time and tend to move to the bottom of my drawer, before they actually wear out.

Mavic also have some nice, long socks in their stable.

Rapha also springs to mind, they have at least two different types of socks, both relatively long.

thanks guys, good suggestions.

I think what im looking for is a bit shorter though. I went with Fox racing DH 6 inches socks in small-medium size, which seems like the perfect length for me.

Long socks are nice. So long as you stay out of the Jérome Baugnies (Wanty-Group Gobert) territory of leg skin exposure. :-)

Capo Avante 200 Olefin - 12cm cuff. IMO better then Defeet, which I used to wear but I too got sick of them losing elasticity and turning grey after a couple of months of use.

Dam !! Never had a defeet sock fail. I have both original ones and wool ones that are over 10 years old ( i think)....I stopped wearing the original one and moved to wool ones about 9/10 years ago.... I will admit that the wool ones have thinned a little and should be replaced... :)

good question, i haven't bought any all whites in a while. i had gotten like 3 pairs from giro.com a while back. Then i bought some whites and blacks from westernbike

this site seems to have the plain white and plain black in stock to some degree.

Mavic PRO socks or the Rapha proteam are my favourites
