please show those beautiful riding pictures to the rest of the Weenie crowd.

And let's add a twist: each month the best picture of that month is chosen via nomination and after that a poll. After twelve months we run a poll again with the best pictures of each month. That way we end up with the best picture of the year.

The winner will receive the honor and a personalized rank.

This thread is a continuation of the now locked ( bye bye one-stop On the road today picture shopping) On the road today... .

This post thereby serves to keep the legendary original On the road today... thread from being orphaned.

Well that looks cold! I can almost hear the snow crunching, looks like it was slushy then froze.

Here's Didcot power station, a landmark across South Oxfordshire. The coal-fired station is out of service now. They demolished two cooling towers last year but these remain.

Devonia bakery, Lambourn. After two hours into a block headwind that fruit scone was very welcome.

Headed to Austin TX for a couple weeks over the holidays to visit my sister and break in the new road bike.
Went from +25C weather in Austin a few days ago and back home today to -25C weather in northern BC, Canada.
