In between bike. But if only two I'd go with the beater, which I assume is in good working condition. It's a lot more convenient if you want to stop along the way or potentially take alternate transportation home. And if helps keep your nice bike on excellent condition for when that's important.

I have secure parking at work, so I use a nice bike (Carbon CX with Ultegra & 30mm road tires) which makes commuting so much more fun. As a consequence I hate the days where I have to take my rain bike (MTB with fenders).

Took another chance on posting the shots I took on the 17th of March. Unfortunately not a mountain or a hill in sight, but that's riding in The Netherlands!

Trees looked great in the morning sun:

A landmark in sight:

Very quiet during a morning ride, but a busy place on sunny Sunday afternoons:

The view I normally get from riding in my area:

A view that's wel known to me. But there is a beauty in that as well.
Nice photo's, somehow I got the feeling it's Noord-Holland?

Thanks! There's beauty in it for sure, and to be honest I am only 30 km away from the hills around Nijmegen. The pictures were taken riding from Oss to Grave and back. That's Noord-Brabant, but I understand why you say it looks a bit like Noord-Holland.

Thanks Sjoerd. Pictures from my traditional trainingride. It can be as beautiful as brutal.
A very pleasant area to spent some time on the bike.

Another Dutchman and the route he took today. This time it is Noord-Holland ;) Zuid-Kennemerduinen to be precise...

Long way to go till October Matt. More of a problem at the moment is hanging on to the UK Conti teams in the Prem calendars:

Yep, didn't get much of a chance to look around during the race, didn't appreciate how nice it can be up north when the sun is out

Cool. Was a bit confused to start with as I saw the water and thought 'Tour of the Resevoir', then I realised that was next weekend. Are you riding that, too?
