After 7 months off the bike, my first ride back was an ascent up Mt. Baldy prior to the ToC stage there. My 11-year-old beat me up by more than 30 minutes. I was destroyed. Time to get back into shape. I'll probably be in race shape just in time for my next deployment. Military life and cycling don't always go well together. hahaha

Send my congrats to you son, Ted. I guess he rides like Lance, except without all the drugs, ha ha (remember that interview from a few years back?).

What was the distance and podium times for his ITT? Can he waste you on the flats also?

Yep, I echo this (especially as we live within 20kms of each other).

Autumn down here has been rubbish. Lap up the good weather you northern types. Winter solstice is fast approaching

We don't live as close to a pole as you lot. At least not close enough to justify continual the crappy weather...

In saying that, (rare) mint conditions for the State Open TT on Sunday. My girl stomped her way to third in A grade. Very stoked for her!

She looks the business.

Wasap with those shoe cover?
I saw them popping up all over internet recently; where's the brand from?

American company I believe.

Nothing is "up" with them. Just a shoe cover that's tight and smoother than a lot of others out there. I have a couple of black pairs. Obvious reasons why the gf chose her particular colour.

Oh and they're water proof, so handy for races when it's a little moist.

Local NorCal company/start up ... they looked very cool... would have bought a pair if I didn't get the gore-tex ones.

State Masters TT Champs. Final 200m uphill, hence the horrible position (and tongue out). Not in a "happy place" at that point.

2nd for this one. Image
