A bit dangerous not having a front brake, no?

absolutely. the only reason i figured it was workable was that the entire 89 km ride had about 100 m that had to be on road and none in traffic. in practice it is amazing how inadequate a rear brake is (perhaps particularly on these wheels). plus all of your instinct is to grab the front, not the rear.

i had one or two moments of terror i can tell you.

not recommended.

Lovely Thassos island of Greece. A nice 100 km loop with a few good climbs and nice views.

Lauterbrunnen valley, road up to Murren I think?. I was there for 2 weeks this summer and hiked up to the Oberhornsee from Stechelberg. Awesome place

Rode up Tennesee Pass today. Tops out at 10,424ft. En route, I passed by Camp Hale. Special to me, as it was the training location for the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. Until very recently, I was an infantry officer in 1-87 IN BN, the first unit formed when the 10th MTN was created. The veterans from the 10th MTN came back and established many of the ski resorts in the U.S.

The Reichenbach river, for any Sherlock fans :P From there the road widens slightly in the forest and the descending is staggeringly awesome. Absolutely all-time!

^ How is vehicle traffic on it during the summer? Busy with tourists and farmers? Or not too bad?

It's not a through road for cars (only for farm/restaraunt/viewpoint access), so it's very quiet. Problem is when the buses come up they fill the entire road!
