BTW, how steep were those hills (they look very short, but sweet)?
i think from the bottom to the finish is about 160-170m, and the road continues to flat 10m to short rise 20m more to complete the half lap elevation. Then it's down hill to flat , back to up hill. My crude estimate from strava elevation and distance has it as 10.56% gradient. it's about 20seconds for the finish part at medium-race speed.

For years the race organizers listed the finishing hill at Luray as 13%. The hardest part IMO is not the hill, but all the descents and tight turns. Really have to be careful not to let gaps open.

@Ichdien, did you puncture? Heard of many pins on the road.
One girl I know ended up in hospital due to (probably) one of those pins.

Fortunately I didn't...which area was affected?

I've been told the flat part just after the first climb.
How did it go?
I've done the first edition of this GF but no more for me cause really too much climbing even on the shorter route.

It was very hard to be honest...the final section of the climb up to Verenetta is 5km @ 9% avg. and that's after almost 1400m of climbing. Quite a psychological blow to see a sign saying "Beginning of climb" (Inizio Salita) after 1400m of climbing for that final section. 39x29 only just about got me over.
I'm signed up for the "Maglia Nera" by Pinarello in honour of Giovanni so it's four granfondos and a team time trial at the finish in Jesolo.
