Hi there,
I wonder whether any Spanish WW's might be able to help?
I have the opportunity to spend late January/early February in Avila, near Madrid.
My concern is the weather and the state of the roads at that time of year.
The climate charts state it should be 2 - 4 degrees. Will the roads be rideable or will there be a risk of ice and snow on all by the major routes?
Is the riding around Avila generally good? What is the traffic like?
Any info anyone can provide would be really helpful.
Thanks!
Winter training in central Spain? Madrid or Avila?

It's a great town and the riding is excellent, ... rolling and flat with very good surfaces
You're right, it's central and quite high, so cold in the winter
Away from one or two main roads traffic is light around there.
