I don't think Cav is going to win the UK champs up against 3 Sky riders, but he's looking in great shape for the Tour.

What a race.

Chapeau to Sky for having a proper race.

Great great race. Was quite surprised that Cav managed to drop Stannard and Luke Rowe but then I remembered he's a bloody Mark Cavendish!

I really like the u23 race incorporated into the pro. Better indicator than separate races? Or would it result in too massive of a field in the US with the volume of riders? Maybe have a more strict nationals selection criteria rather than just category? Would be detrimental to development or beneficial? Considering USACycling can't properly organize amateur/u23 RR nats. Riders almost died and were neglected

Peter Sagan is Slovak road race champion for next year, with Juraj Sagan finishing on second place. Peter is Slovak TT champion as well.
Petr Vakoc is Czech road race champion.

Chris Anker Sørensen won the Danish title. In a heads-up sprint!

He hasn't won a race since 2010, and is presently without a contract for next year. He was pretty emotional in the post-race interview.

Edvald Boasson Hagen beats Odd Christian Eiking (FDJ from August) in the toughest nationals course, at least in the last 15-20 years. EBH will sport both nat. champ. jerseys in the TdF. Almost for Vegard Stake Laengen in third, after spending a whole heck of a lot of kms alone.

Also worth mentioning is that Sven Erik Bystrøm (KAT) closed a big gap before the finish, bringing EBH and others to a trio in front. Kristoff definitely could not win in such a tough course, and Bystrøm apparently wanted to help EBH.

The U23 race can't be pro, but also can't be elite due to regulations since most development teams are technically pro teams at least license wise. I think its good to have them separate although I think the U23 race should be on the pro course not the elite course.

I'm not surprised USAC botched elite nats, but do they also really care about it? Lets be real, while there are great riders riding it its basically a really large, slightly more prestigious cat 1 race.

Do juniors with masters since their dads are probably racing and driving them to the race anyways.

Anyone else finding it ironic Bouhanni was taken out by precisely the same move he makes in a sprint?

and to be honest, Roy didn't appear to be intentionally looking to hook him...
