Danny Pate is one of those guys along with Will Frischkorn who were super talented JR and U23 riders and for whatever reason never made the leap beyond consistent reliable domestique in the euro pro scene. Although he does it subtly, he's one of the few current WT pros who are outspoken about doping in cycling. He's like a less annoying Phil Gaimon and basically the opposite of Tommy D who did nothing until 25 and then was suddenly 'the next Lance'...

He's one of the people that slave tirelessly, and apparently anonymously, so guys like Froome and Wiggins can win bike races.

Tinkov really needs to go. Racism has no place in any sphere of life, cycling included.

In fairness, Vaughters post about Putin and the Mona Lisa was just as insulting.

Vaughter's tweet was in no way comparable. Tinkov's was plain racist. Unacceptable under any circumstances.

A better cyclist than pretty much anyone who frequents online cycling forums.

Hmm, maybe there is a conclusion to be drawn from their failure to advance

Can someone on twitter ask TD if you should do his core exercise with a T patch or without?

I think it's you :). In Stage 1 it was a tricky maneuver but nothing wrong with it. Stage 2: on the right is his teammate and on the left Bonifazio passes him, Bonifazio goes to the right so closes Ewen in between his real wheel and the Orica teammate. Not much Ewan could do about that.

Agreed. I feel like every time the "favorite" sprinter in a race doesn't have his way he throws a hissy fit. It makes the contenders usually look like the bad guy and like they are dangerous/ too aggressive.

Stage 1 was going to be dicey based on the course and I think Ewan handled himself well. Ewan could have bowed to king Kittel and gone through second wheel but he went for the win you have applaud that. Everyone stayed upright so Idk what the beef is? Sure he didn't hold the best line but it was 2 guys on a massive road, there is room for error. Stage 2 didn't go nearly as well but I don't think he did anything fundamentally wrong.

The sprinting by Pelucchi has been fantastic and made for a great race so far. Some of the finishing circuits have been creative ,to say the least, but it seems like the organizers are really trying to accommodate spectators. I find one week stage races the most exciting and Poland hasn't disappointed thus far.

Of course, in France, football fans commonly throw/threw banana peels at black players from opposing teams. So, I suppose there's a reason you think this is "just as insulting".

Sorry mods I have to carry on the Off-Topic because this is plain wrong/unfair

Way less than in eastern Europe, Spain or Italy.

Unfortunately a football stadium is the reflection of society with its share of douchey people.

"commonly" in France you're absolutely wrong

It's also a reflection of all of those fans who stood by and did nothing. Not just the shithead who threw it. Tolerance of that behavior = acceptance of it.
