Vasectomy recovery time?
Moderators: robbosmans, Moderator Team
I can't afford any more weight weenie components because I have too many kids, so I'm getting snipped...
Seriously though, what is the recovery time? and has anyone had any long term complications from a vasectomy that effected your riding?
Thanks ahead of time!

Not had one but read this thread http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=111603&hilit=vasectomy
Recovery depends per person. Some people have more hinder than others. A mild swelling of the sack is not unusal (blood/fluid), but that should be normal in a few days.
For me: I could commute after 1 or 2 days (gingerly!), but a racing saddle? I'd say that took two weeks.
It's a very minor procedure.

Nope. Even if you have only one ball
Only physical activity for the first 3 days being a walk to the freezer to get a cold ice pack and the first week doing absolutely nothing and avoiding standing for longer than 5 minutes. First time on a saddle after 3 weeks made things quite sore, so took another 2 weeks without a ride or other training. After 5 weeks I was able to ride back to back days with just minor soreness. It took 10 weeks or so to get to normal, no soreness state. My recovery was slower than normal I've been told, but if you don't care about your recovery, things can get much worse.
