Hi all;

As someone who likes taking photos and videos during rides, I am looking for action cameras to document my road bike rides.
I currently stuck with two models, and trying to decide.

I was planning to buy Virb Elite, because I read on the reviews that its the only model I can import my ride data to video, I mean that ride dashboard. (Shimano camera can do it too, I am currently searching for it)
But on one of the video review, the guy said that I can import my GPS data I recorded with my Edge510 to video too. In that case, since I have all the GPS and sensors with my Edge510, I don't need to pay extra for the Elite model.

So I am hoping that, someone here might have Virb camera and can tell me if this is possible or not.

I just got a virb elite.. no time to play with it yet. But in my research it seems to me the normal virb + software can use the GPS data from your 510... you still have to manually align it..something that is a small extra step that you would not have to do with an elite model. You also don't have the wi-fi.. that could be no biggie..

I have a virb and you import the data with virb edit software. Piece of cake. The elite links to you sensors but looses battery life

Thanks guys for the answers.
I was checking the Virb Edit software. I wanted to see how it works before I buy the camera. I realised that I am able to add any video to the application and any GPS data.
I created this video quickly;

Which means that, I don't actually need Garmin Virb to have the dashboard on my videos.
So, searching action cam starts again...

The virb is a very good cam, much better than a go pro etc..

Last week I bought Virb. So far I am quite happy. I even uploaded a quick test video, which I am really happy about the quality.
I can't wait to go for a group ride this weekend, so I might get some exciting videos.

If you look how my hands are shaking, video looks really, really stable.
