Dear Internets,

I will be in Vancouver of the Canadians August 15-18th and would like to pedal my bicycle. Can anyone share some good rides of varying length in the area? 2-5 hours. Preferably away from polar bears...

Sincerely,
Caffeinated

(p.s. this isn't spam. I really would like some ride suggestions. Please and thank you)

If you like climbing, there are the 3 mountains that are popular, seymour (12km climb), grouse, and cypress

In North/West Vancouver, various combinations of Seymour, Cypress, LSCR and Stanley Park. Ride up to Squamish and back.

Over in Port Moody, there are some nice hills in Belcarra.

I wouldn't say I *like* climbing but I tolerate it. No way around it where I live.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

If you're willing to drive south into Whatcom County (Washington) there are hundreds of miles of infrequently traffic'd roads most of which are pretty scenic.
