I just weighed a pair of Lake CX402 shoes, size 44, no cleats
with insoldes 311 and 321g
without insoles 294 and 303g

Story: I have a pair of the CX401 that I liked, several years old, but one carbon sole cracked at the vent hole at the tip (I had taken a fairly high speed spill with them months earlier, which is probably why). I emailed Lake a picture of the sole, and they proposed a crash exchange at 50% of the regular price, which I thought was a nice gesture. They gave me the deal on the new model (2 boas instead of 1) and let me order the all black version that's not widely available (there is an upcharge, but I'm vain...). Overall I felt very well treated by Lake - my correspondent was very responsive and helpful, and I felt like a "valued customer"...

Please excuse the instant de-rail, do you know a Geneva retailer who has a reasonable shoe choice (like Lake) ? I'm sick of buying online and having sizing issues.

Cheers.
