Sorry to dig up an old thread, just wondering how the LakeCX237 fit, compared to the Shimano R320, size wise and fit..

Just when the thought crosses my mind to pick up another pair... they get further and further out of my reach!
I switched over to some Bont Vaypors, stuck my D2 orthotics in them, and my feet are happy.

I have a few pairs for the 2014, the mavi zxellium are my favorite at the moment, northwave extreme are my second favorite, I dont know what it is with northwave, they just fit me really good.
fizik r1 are really good also, but no long ride report with them.

Just gone from Shimano R300 to Lake CX237.
Fit is similar, although I've gone a size smaller because the Shimano's were a little big and I thought the leather would stretch.
So far so good.
I really like the boas btw, much easier!

With wide and flat feet I have been searching in vain for a decent shoe that fits and offers support for a long time - decided to stop beating around the bush after 4 pairs of off the shelf and have gone all out....for my significant birthday just got measured up for a pair of these - Wooten 0.1 Road Shoes
One the lightest (can be made sub 300g/pr if required) and most advanced shoes available with negligible stack height but most importantly 'slow fashion' handcrafted next door (Melbourne) and made to measure for perfect fit. Kangaroo leather upper combined with uni-directional carbon sole by Leuscher Teknik all made to custom measure and fit including personalised molded footbed with sole stiffness to suit personal riding style. I'm not a fan of the ultra stiff zero-flex style sole so this is a bonus for me.
Mine wont have any branding/graphics on them and in custom colour leather. No prizes for guessing if you know my style of bike. Also get my cleat position to match my specific body bike fit (marginally inboard of neutral)
Ride partner has had a pair for 3 seasons including trips to Europe each year - wont go near anything else now - very happy
Will be ready for preliminary fitting next week for any shape fine tuning before soles are fixed on - my feet cannot wait!
Jess Wooten is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet - don't make the mistake of taking your wife to the shop - by the time we left my other half had also been measured up for a pair of street shoes. She said it was just for the chance to have him hold her feet!
