Looks like Rapha have cocked up - their new Italian jersey
Moderators: robbosmans, Moderator Team
Just looking at the Rapha Country Italian Jersey and it would appear the Italian flag is the wrong way round. Looks more like a hungarian flag? I always thought it was, green, white and red? Any thought.....

Well spotted. The arms are indeed upside down!

The French flag is also the wrong way. I would almost laugh but Rapha prides itself on the heritage and traditions of cycling, except it puts a country's flag upside down which is a basic mistake. Imagine a Chinese clothing company doing heritage basketball and putting the stars and stripes... as a stripes and stars!
If you want to rip off the history of the sport, at least get the basics right. I know the clothing is reasonable quality, it is the branding that reaches too far.

hmm, I'm not so sure it's a cock up, rather the design just doesn't work very well.
The picture of the mullet dude on the bike shows the arm from the inside. However, I think this design is supposed to be viewed from the outside of the arm.
With the arm vertical, it's a bit of a moot point anyway because the flag is rotated 90 degrees from how it should be, but if you're arms were more out in front of you, and you were looking side on from the outside, the flags would look right (like if you were overtaking a rider in a more recreational position on the bike)

Traditionally, vertical banded flags like Italy, France etc are rotated 90 degrees clockwise for the body and sleeves. Rapha's seamstress has probably just sewn the band on upside down. I doubt the original design had this faux pas.

It works when your arms are up at the finish line...

...erm... maybe it's the country jersey for Hungary?
Why does it always have to be Italy, France, etc?!
