Positioning q-rings, how do I know?

I am trying to figure out how to position the small and the large ring to seat exactly according to their shape. Is there any mark on them or is it just by the eye measurement? I'm using the Rotor Q Rings 53/39

I have mine set at the bolt opposite the pedal. Three dots for the outer and two at the inner.
