Anyone have the long sleeve Gabba with removable sleeves?

Thinking of that option, over the short sleeve.

I don't, but I am thinking of getting a short sleeve one to pair with some Nanoflex/NoRain arm warmers as the LS jersey arms really aren't as snug fitting as an arm warmer. Putting an aero cut jersey over the LS Gabba looks a bit off, especially if the jersey isn't black (mine isn't), so I see a SS one in the war chest in the near future.

That option is in my opinion the most versatile as it is warm in the winter and you use the Gabba also in weather conditions with a lot of wind without the warmers.

I live in San Francisco and my Gabba paired with arms Warner's is my go to kit for long weekend rides from fall to spring. That combo with a base layer works from the 50s to upper 60s

Bit of a bump, but it's getting cold and wet here. Not sure what size Gabba to buy, can anyone with a Small or Medium measure the width laid flat, from armpit to armpit? And maybe the width at the waist hem, since it tapers? Thanks!

Best thing is to try in a store or buy two sizes online and keep the one that fits best.

Problem is in South Africa you don't get Castelli in the local bike shops. Which makes it almost impossible to buy online.

I've never tried another Castelli jersey other then the Gabba, but imo they are quite roomy. So if you are between sizes I would think the smaller option would be best.
Although don't take my word for it - I'm just comparing to the jerseys I normally wear, Rapha & Le coq sportif. All size large, the gabba aswell

I run small castelli and the Gabba has a bit more room in than compared to the regular castelli tops.

Have just measured my small Gabba (sleeveless version, the original one not the new "2")

Armpit to armpit is 49cm
Waist is 34cm
And just incase you wanted it the length the front from shoulder to hem is 54cm

34cm seems quite small, it that because of elastic? Or maybe you meant to type 43?

its probably the elastic, it does stretch out a bit when you wear it unlike an aero jersey from Castelli

just measured my medium one, also original model, sleeveless

armpit-armpit is 56cm - laid flat, measuring to the lowest point at which the sleeve attaches

waist is 39cm

it's much stretchier at the waist than at the chest

fit is looser than a typical castelli jersey

Hmm, thanks. Sounds like I need a Small. I have a Capo Lombardia in Medium that fits like a Small, thought Castelli would run smaller than Capo...

Funny, I've had both at some point as well. Got M Capo and L Gabba which are the same sizes I have for other tops from those companies. L Gabba was just a bit too big in the chest and length. However, I got a Gabba vest as well in L and it fits much tighter, go figure. Capo fits perfect.

Ps fwiw I'm 39-40 inch chest, 180cm, 75kgs

For those whose Nanoflex or No-Rain garments have lost water repellency, throw them in the dryer or use a light iron. The water resistance comes right back. I talked to Steve Smith over at Castelli / Sportful about it and this is what he recommended.

On a related note, the Gabba v.2's are fantastic. Subtle changes to the cut make it even better. The Fawesome v.2 also has a Nanoflex Light back now so water resistance is even better. The new Sportful Fiandre stuff is pretty awesome too, especially the Fiandre Light No-Rain top. Basically like a Fawesome vest but with some Windstopper on the upper arms and some No-Rain Light on the forearms.

Being in rainy but mild Seattle, this stuff is gold.
