A couple of hours until the first stage starts. One of my favorite teams Androni Giocattoli has been wildcarded into the race so this is a must see. I managed to get RAI Sport 1 stream on my computer and I thought to share this quick "how-to" with you.

1. Choose a proxy from the list - http://www.proxynova.com/proxy-server-list/country-it/.
2. Go to your network settings to enable the proxy.
Windows 7 - http://answers.oreilly.com/topic/675-how-to-configure-proxy-settings-in-windows-7/.
OS X - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4069?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US.
3. Go to RAI Sport 1 Diretta - http://www.raisport.rai.it/dl/raisport/multimedia/2011/diretta.html.
4. Enjoy!

Be aware using a proxy at the system level will mean all your traffic is going through that server. A better idea is to download a second browser, like Firefox or Chrome and set it to use the proxy.

Good point you made there. Is Firefox proxy alone enough or will Microsoft Silverlight (hate this thing) reveal your real identity/location?

Yeah, I use Firefox with a proxy to watch various location restricted streams. Can't stand David Harmon's shouting on Eurosport (even though I really like Sean Kelly).

David Harmon is not doing the Giro, someone else with Kelly.

For anyone who that doesn't work for you know there's a list of streams on CyclingFans? 3 Eurosports feeds fully working most days, plus you get it in English too.
