FYI: Pelotonia is one of the largest, best organized charity rides in the US, having attracted over 11,000 riders and having raised $42 million in its 4 prior events; http://pelotonia.org/. Before you shrug about another charity ride, this one is as challenging as you want. Routes vary from 25 to 100 miles the 1st day with the most demanding route having 4600 ft of climbing on scenic rolling rural roads through northeast central Ohio. For those riding the second day, the route is 80 miles with 3500 ft of climbing. And the lead pack is comprised of CAT-level riders who take great pride in crossing the line first. Plus, like many charity events, Pelotonia supports a fabulous cause: 100% of the money raised goes to finance cancer research at Ohio State University with no overhead or government bureaucratic interference. A dollar raised for cancer research anywhere benefits everyone everywhere.
