Hi

So any NL ww out there? I might be moving to NL (Amstelveen close to Amsterdam) next year, and been searching on the
web for any road or mtb or even cx clubs or group rides, and I cannot seem to find any.
Anyone know of any?

I did a quick Google search for you, but all the sites are in Dutch. When I searched specifically on Amstelveen, I came across this one:

http://www.wtcdeamstel.net/

This looks like a serious club. For instance they offer CX training and they organize races as well. If I need to do any translating, please let me know.

I think you'll have a hard time finding group rides online.
I used to live near den Bosch, there would b a group ride departing everyday or twice a day with in 20 km from the the city but I dare say you won't find them online.

Go hassle a club or club rider once your there and you find plenty of ridding.
Btw, awesome place to learn "waaier rijden "(;

Here is a link to contact emails for the KNWU (Dutch Cycling Federation) region of North Holland. When I arrived in the country I had the same question. They provided me e-mail and contact information for various clubs in the area where I now live (Schoorl, 40km north of Amsterdam). You can e-mail in English and they will reply in kind.

De Amstel is a nice group if you are a competitive rider.
Other than that there are a lot smaller and bigger groups.
Sent me a PM when you are in Amsterdam/ Amstelveen than we can meet for a ride.

WTC de Amstel or UWTC Uithoorn would be the two clubs closest to you. If you prefer racing on a closed track, there are races at the Sloten parcours (2.5km laps) every monday, wednesday and saturday during summer, plus numerous other evening club races at other clubs during the week (like Amstelveen on thursday, Uithoorn on tuesday).
Chains to the right!
