just got back from 2 days in Malibu. There are great climbs up all of the canyons off of PCH. Do a search on Strava- there are lots of loops connecting the canyons that have well over 1200m of climbing. I did Latigo yesterday, and recommend an early start and an extra water bottle- it was really hot after 9:00!
