What have you managed to fit? I had some issues running a Specialized 25c on my 23mm rims and the tire rubbing on the brake spring. Trying to run as big as possible on my training wheels.

What brakes are you running? I have 303FC clinchers with Maxxis 25mm tires on and still have 5mm of clearance front and rear with Red 2012 brakes.

101 with gp4000 25mm, but only on the rear. by choice, never tried the 25 on the front.

most importantly, what brakes?

A friend of mine is running a set of 25c pro 2 race's which on the 404 firecrests he has them on measure out to just over 29mm wide on a 58cm Caad10 4 no problem... However we had another person try and put a set of 25c set of lithions and it has clearance issues with the fork (vertically not horizontally)

I was running Specialized Roubaix Armadillo 25s on both the front and rear with 7900 brakes. 0 issues on the front, but the rear would rub on the spring on the brake when the bike had my bodyweight on it.

Can you guys fit 25mm tires/tyres on your CAAD 10 no problem? Specifically on the front.
I have a 2011, which was the first year I think, and if I mount 25mm tires it rubs the fork crown, not the brakes!

Anyone else have this problem?

I posted over on the CAAD 10 build thread (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=99457) and got a couple of answers, then found this thread.
If I put a 25mm tire on mine, clincher or tubular, it rubs the fork crown. I can fit a 24mm vittoria....barely!

But from that build thread it seems people can easily fit 25mm and possibly 27mm.

Would you say this is a defect from year 1 of production? a defect for the batch my bike was in? or something else?
It's frustrating, as I'd love to be able to run my Vittoria Corsa Evo CG III at Battenkill. If I want to, I'll have to ride my cx bike.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Cheers.

I can fit a 25mm GP4000s clincher in front on my '13 CAAD10 with about 5mm clearance between sidewall and fork, and a little bit more between tread and fork crown.

Perhaps the fork was redesigned to allow more clearance and you have a model produced before the spec had changed.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I was wondering, and looks likely, but I can't find anything concrete to confirm it.

My CAAD10 has ample clearance for a Hutchinson Sector tubeless 28 mm tyre, both front and rear.

I've fit 28mm Rubino Pro 3s, Challenge Parigi Roubaix, and 25mm Michelin Pro 4 Race on Archetypes with plenty of clearance front and rear. Running Planet-X CNC brakes.

I've got similar problem with my 2012 CAAD10, see here:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=127547

It seems that in 2013 they managed to put rear brake a bit higher.
