Weight Weenies

I'm hoping some of you experts on Chinese frames might be able to help me out here.

I bought this frame for a bargain ($400) so I'm not too fussed if you tell me it's a piece of rubbish...

What I would like to know is:
Who made it (which factory)?
Where?
Will the forks snap when I take it on a steep velodrome?
Is it UCI compliant?
Is it actually stiff and aerodynamic

The weight is good by the way - just 1580g for this small frame. Good for a track bike frame.

Lovely looking frame, reminds me of the koga/BT stealth track bikes, but there are distinct differences, so maybe a far east copy of one of these maybe?? I could be barking up the wrong tree though! good luck!

Nobody can answer any of those questions from looking at that picture on a screen

There are people on this forum who have been to the factories where frames like mine are made. They know of the reputation of the factories, the skill level and some have even purchased and used such frames. I know that the images alone can't be used to answer my questions (otherwise I would have answered my questions). The images are there to let people ID the frame as one they have tested or seen in production themselves.

Can't answer your question, but it does like one of the better Chinese track frame designs out there. Back half is very BT or Corima...

From where did you purchase the frame set?

Sprinter: interested to know where you got yours from. Any specs? Is that a bb30?

Wow $400?!? I'd love a ride report...barring anything bad I'd definately buy one of those for that price

I actually bought this secondhand but unused.

I think my frame looks a lot like this. And if you do a search for FM014 ISP it seems the frame and forks an be bought via Alibaba for under $600 on some sites.

I'm racing on my frame on June 27 so I'll give you all a race report!

If you click through Sprinters Alibaba link this frame with removable seat post is there also, so possibly sourced from the same factory?

A little rider report

The frame seems all good so far - the wheels slot in perfectly, sit correctly in the frame and the chain line is good.

I've given it a bit of a test on the velodrome - but couldn't go 100% because I need to cut a bit more off my seat mast.

Only problem I've found is that the fork tube isn't of an even thickness. The outside is perfectly round, but inside the carbon is a bit uneven, with some thick and thin areas.
