I'm racing the Race Across America again this year. It starts in less than 3 weeks... and my bike was just stolen.

The logistics of competing in the race have me at my financial limits so to help raise money to replace it the good people at Velocite bikes have agreed to let me raffle a bike like the one that was cruelly ripped from my possession.

The prize is a Velocite Geos 3.

It's the same frameset I was planning to use for the mountain sections of RAAM and that the Maxxis Prendas pro team are riding.

Tickets cost 50 euros each. You can enter as many times as you want. Entries close on June 7th.

It's easy to enter:
- Send me an email at warnersmithm@gmail.com telling me how many tickets you would like.
- I'll then send you payment request that you can use to buy the tickets with your credit card or PayPal account.

So far only a handful of tickets have been sold and the raffle is only running for 2 weeks, so your chances of winning are excellent!

The fine print:
- there are no limits on the number of entries
- the prize is a Velocite Geos 3 in the size of the winner's choice
- the winner will be drawn at random from all entries on Friday the 8th of June
- the bike will be shipped directly from the factory to the winner's address, or can be collected from Geneva Switzerland
- the winner is responsible for all import duties and taxes
- changes to the model or specifications may be possible at the winners expense, subject to availability and approval by Velocite

As a co-team rider and training buddy of Privateer I can vouch for the raffle. I'll also be posting updates (if all works out as planned) during RAAM, with a cold beer in my hand whilst he is pedaling through deserts and rain. Ah, the tough life ;)

I think you'll get a much larger response if you could have Victor from Velocite chime in here to vouch for the raffle. He could also give a quick update about available sizes of the Geos 3.

Gentlemen, given the situation, we will allow this raffle to go ahead on an exceptional basis.

For future reference, such proposals need to be cleared with the mods before posting.

Privateer, best of luck with the financing and the RAAM.

Locking this. Drop me a line if you have any questions.
