I use normal bar tape. Tried to go without tape and tried some grip tape but it just felt weird.

But rocking down a road at 50km/h in skin tight lycra and a sperm shaped helmet is all normal

Yes, something like that.:) My friend is running the testing business and I'm not that familiar with the testing protocol details.

Nice bike and clearly you've spent a lot of time getting it right, so what's with the janky looking Garmin mount?... seems silly to spend all this aero-testing time and then have a front end with zip ties and rubber bands on it.

DIY mount because I can mount blipbox underneath and hide all wires inside that mount. After taking that photo I changed the placement more higher on the bars. Not the most elegant solution still but now it's shielded from wind by my hands.

If you have suggestions for more elegant mount and or solution to hide blipbox and wires, I'm all ears.:)

I think that a normal Garmin mount, on the aero extensions would look cleaner... then bring the blip wires back and mount blip box behind the cables going into the frame.

Where exactly? On top of the stem? And there's no wires going into the frame?

I was just today looking for a place to hide the blipbox and one possible place would be under one of the armrest and then install the bridge between armrest so I could attach cables to it.

Not wires... the cables, I think its the brake cable.

May I ask what was the estimated cda from your velodrome session?

That's a whole load of 'stuff' going on there.

I'm not on eTap, but Di2, so I can only sympathise with having to hide the Blip Box, but placement behind the brake cables as mentioned above would put the box in 'dirty' air as such and help to clean up the front end a little more.

Remember that anything in clean air is costing you time.

I have my garmin mounted high, between my hands to help shield it from the wind.

Yep, currently both Garmin and blipbox are also mounted high on my bike also. Problem with that placement showing in my pic was problematic compared to my old s-bend extensions. I couldn't see the Garmin properly any more and since my hands were higher it was exposed to the wind.

But placing that blipbox either on stem or on top tube isn't an option. It looks hidious and like Stoo said, it is exposed there.

My friend hasn't had time to do the calculations yet, and since I'm not paying like "real customers", it's not really priority.:(

But here is my baseline and position after session. He calculated savings of 18 watts between these.

^ it sure looks much better after the session...

You must resolve the blip box thingy for the next season, and the rusty bolts
