Its getting uncomfortably close to the rainy season over here, time to tuck away the aero wheels and dust off the mud-guarded winter bike. So what will you be riding for the next few months?

Prize for the heaviest

6.8kg fixed gear.

With, 38g brake lever. Got the pair, sub 100g, for $2. The feel is great, they look fine, the clamp is wonderful. Vision-esque blade More coming on those.......

Eggbeater pedals.

Chosen hub track wheels (Really well sealed. Of all the track wheels, these have the bearing seals, a second set of rubberised plastic seals which interact with alloy dustcaps. Still very smooth. 28/28. Neuvation R28Aero on the front for lightness when I want it.

Rest is obvious....When I post pics.

I vote new thread title, Who has the lightest winter bike (no race roadies. If a carbon Pinarello pops up, you're rich and cheating)

winter here is still only 5 degrees C at 5am. Never really much colder, no snow and drought for the last 10 years it seems.

So the same bike all year.

A change would be nice sometimes.

LOL, aussies have no winter. No wonder you guys are so fast.

It's the first day of fall and its already a high of 10 C freezing overnight in Canada. In winter its good weather when it's -10C or above. Snow riding isn't all bad, but there's no way I'm riding the road bike, until the roads clear up in the end of April.

it is possible to ride through all winter with arm warmers, knee warmers, booties and a gillet. Even in the first hour or so in darkness.

I spent a few winters in Colorado USA and the north of Slovenija.

the year 1987 in Europe was the coldest I can remember ever being.

If youa re hard enough you can swim all year round here in the ocean as the water only changes a few degrees all year.

How come that you were riding in Slovenija? Do you have any relatives here?
