What was the temperature up top? I'm wondering how the road appears dry with all that snow around - unless it was below freezing (even "in the sun" apparently).JamieL wrote:Up on the top, the snow was quite deep in places

@HT2: The blacktop stores a lot of heat, which melts snow and evaporates water. It has most probably also been kept driveable during the winter.
Very nice, Makoy.

Looks like you've been enjoying your FM066 more than your Orca. Makes me wanna buy one if it is that gooood.
Mainly because its a new toy. Apart of that, I have nothing to complaint about the bike. Definitely more compliant than the Orca, seems fast and feels light too. Funny thing is the Chorus, I swear it feels like my SR. For the money spent this build is definitely a winner.
Trek SpeedConcept 9.9 Project One, Basso Diamante SV, DeRosa SK (sold), Orbea Orca Gold 6430gr, Orbea Aqua, Tommasini Tecno, FM-066SL 6480gr, Kinesis RaceLight T2, Trek Superfly 100, Orbea Alma 29, Specialized Enduro S-Works 29, KTM EXC-250

@ross: Do your GP4Season sing a lot (or more than other tyres) on regular macadam? Just wondering if the pair I recently retired was typical for the model.
I can't say I've noticed it, I'm running the 25c's. They feel slower on tarmac than my Veloflex, but the 4seasons are a good allrounder
