During my recent trip in Shenzhen (China) got chance to do a few local amateur races; the first one was less than 24 hrs since my landing in Hong Kong and it ended with a puncture just 20kms after the start while the second one was a very short course and ended with a 3rd position made in China trophy.

I've been racing twice a week now since the summer track season is in full swing. Last Saturday afternoon saw the second round of the Interclub Summer Track League at the Packer Parker velodrome.

It is one of the longer and flatter tracks around town at 360m long and was quite quick with a smooth coated asphalt surface. It was also rather exposed to the surprisingly blustery South Easterly wind which made the back 'straight' a slog but offered a super fast wind assisted finish.

During the first break. I'm the one in red...

:D The sticker under the BB of my new Sempre Pro frame says "Made in China". But it's got the correct color!
