Quick question, will the Novatec XD freehub fit the F482sb-SL Hub?

spoke nipples that allign properly like sapim or DT swiss do would probably help. Never built a non interlaced wheel to know if it will be less stiff. In theory it stiffness is not affected but as I have never tried. What you may find if you do get wheel flex is spoke making contact and pinging possibly.
Sorry for my English. He said, that spokes will bend too much on the area, where they interlace each other. Now, when not interlaced, distance between spokes are too big (ca 6mm).
I can easily press spokes against each other with fingers.

I have never read or seen a wheel building book that does not interlace cross threaded spokes !
Its not what you paid for - I'd be sending it back.

rubbish that there is too much bend where they cross for the spokes to be interlaced.
You should see the bend where I have interlaced the spokes on my 88mm 12 spoke TT wheels. now that a bend. the wheels are fine.
My own 50mm deep rims have interlaced spokes. Bends will be worse on these. 11000km they are fine.
Not interlacing should not be a problem though.

While I agree with everything you said about angles of interlaced spokes not being a problem, I've never laced a wheel with crossed spokes(without being interlaced).bm0p700f wrote:rubbish that there is too much bend where they cross for the spokes to be interlaced.

You could be right, but I've never even see anyone build a wheel that way.
Re spokes bending at the crossings, here's an extreme example I did once:
I'd build these radial nowadays, as the 2x was just for looks. However, the wheel has been fine for almost 2 years of commuting and occasional riding on forest singletrack.
Looks nice though:

Now that that's clear, anyone know if Novatec SL road hubs can take an XD driver?
