Our hubs are made by Chosen Co. Ltd in Taiwan under license from us. They are different to their factory molds as you will be able to see from their website. Our designs cut the weight of the hubs down to 70g F and 200g R. With ceramics they are even lighter at 65G F and 195G R.... but we are splitting hairs here.

@Phil,

KinLin also does a 22mm rim.
That is the KinLin XR-200 rim it is 390grams average weight.
It can be ordered in classic drilling or in a drilling for internal spoke nipples. The tallter is to prefer since the internal nippel gives a stonger nipple to rim interface.

The 19mm KinLin rim is the KinLin Nb-R 19 rim. It is 395 grams average weight.

I just did build me a new front wheel with a KinLin XR-200 (classic nipples) on a EDCO super-G hub and 28 sapim CX-ray spokes together 633 grams.

KinLin also produces the Amercan Classic rims for the 350 an 420 series.
And they do rims for Reynolds and other reputet wheelbrands too.

Those bike forums threads are a great for finding out what novice cyclists think of the way a product looks.

The 4.0s do look interesting. From the website.

Double Butted and bladed 2.3mm 'Sandvick USA' stainless steel spokes.

That should be 'Sandvik USA' - how do I know? Sandvik are a Swedish-based steel company from my wife's hometown.

mine just arrived!!

they are the new version, but not the standard build (24h/24h).. they are 20h front 24h rear... so keep in mind that the are probably a bit lighter but not as strong/stiff....

anyway, so far I'm REALLY pleased!! they look great, the finish is great, the price is great and best of all, the weight is great!! lol...
Now I need to ride them!! (tomorrow morning!)

Soul claim the standard build as 1317g.. Sean said to me that a 20h/24h sould be around 1275g w/o rim tape... guess what?? it's 1299g with RIM TAPE so he was right!! I'm very happy..

also i got the new stickers (that I didn't even know about) and they look MUCH better than the old ones!!!

enough of my bad english (sorry about that), and here are some quick snapshots:

I'll be riding them tomorrow and will give my report.. but I can't describe how happy I'm for loosing 450g for U$360+ shipping.. :D

Wow, do they plan on decreasing the number of spokes on the S3.0 and S4.0?

Dude, I can't believe your not going to remove that heavy rim tape and install Rox tape!

Don't do it. Just use veloplugs. Less weight, more reliable.

relax folks ...

I live in Brazil.. there are no veloplugs or rox tape around here.. I have to order online from the US.. anyone know a store that ships worldwide? I heard that veloplug is not so great w/ latex tubes (I use them on races).. what do you think?

I'm waiting for my set of s2.0 too. From what I have heard from soulbike 1 months ago, there was some error at ordering front hubs and they had only 1 20 hole hub in stock. They could make a 20-spoked front wheel if I wanted but they cannog guarantee its longetivity so I decided to wait for 24hole hubs to arrive. However as 24-spoke wheelset has NO weight limit, I think 20-spoke version will be more than OK anyway.

In short, they are not going to decrease the # of spokes and the 1200g-ish wheelset is one off. Now I regret my decision and envy you a lot felipedana... :D

Raxel, yep!! that's exactly what happened afaik.. and yes, I'm very happy with my decision on buying the 20h front wheel ...
hopefully it will hold up well.. and maybe they will build some more in the future..

If you're concerned that the latex tubes won't be velo-plug friendly, then get the Rox rim tape. Perhaps you can get free shipping from Fairwheel, just tell Madcow that you're in Rio and he'll consider making the delivery personally. ;)
