My replacement Campy Bora Ultra 50 wheels showed up with the wrong hub :(

Everything about building wheels, glueing tubs, etc.

After waiting 6-weeks for my defective wheels to be replaced under warranty, Campagnolo service facility sent me the rear wheel in the wrong hub. I sent in Shimano hub bora ultra 50's and got back a Campy version

That's a bummer man. You can either complain and work to get a new freehub from them or put a Campy cassette on there and get riding. Assuming you have 11 speed.

on some campag wheels can't you just swap the freehub body?

if yours allow it, then if they put the wrong one on, they should ship you the correct one so you can change it over, faster and less hassle than shipping the whole wheel back and forth (at their cost)

It's a simple swap - just call 'em and they'll replace it.

It takes 2 minutes to swap. Just call them and they will ship you the Shimano freehub.

Freehub is easy to swap - but you need to know one key thing.

The freehub retaining nut is reverse threaded, it unscrews clockwise.

So,you need a 5mm hex key on the NDS and a socket wrench on the DS retaining nut.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

The right way to do it is to use the 5mm allen key and 17mm wrench both on the drive side. The NDS 5mm cap is there so you can remove the axle when you have to do bearing maintenance, etc...
It should not be used to screw or unscrew the DS freehub retaining nut.

I ended up getting a Shimano free hub replacement and had it installed locally. Thanks for all the help!
