The 45mm optional disc Ridley wheels (Forza) seem to use the same rim, but in disc version. A review : https://www.feedthehabit.com/gear-revie ... et-review/

I bought a pair just before Christmas to put on my new Basso. They came within a week and were very well packed.
Overall pretty happy, they came in on weight, IIRC, reasonably rigid for my 93kgs (yes, I know). Braking isnt a patch on my Fulcrum Carbon Quattros, as its pretty pulsy with the black prince pads they now recommend. They are the newer freehub so pretty quiet.
Wide wheels, cant comment on the bearings as its too early having only done about 500kms on them. REALLY pretty wheels.
Will post more once Ive ridden and thought some more.

Brake pulse is disappointing

I live 20 mins climbing from a cat 1 , 8% climb called "Sa Calobra". Descending its 19 off camber hairpins in traffic with pulsing brakes, "dissapointing" isn't the first adjective which came to mind.

I think I've settled on reynolds as the all round reliable/smooth/stopping option for clinchers.

German Tour magazine managed to destroy reynolds rims in their testing.Nefarious86 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 1:40 pmI think I've settled on reynolds as the all round reliable/smooth/stopping option for clinchers.

Hands down Campy Bora is the best Carbon wheelset. Although I wish they could be wider. 17mm internal and 24mm external seem narrow these days. I have a pair of Hed Belgiums Plus alloy rims and they are 20.8mm internal. To me that’s perfect. But I also understand wider = weight gain. That’s probably why the Boras are only 17c. If you look at the wider Enves they are heavier than the Boras.

(Subjective bullshit warning) They would be the best if they had the rim profile of Zipps, Enve or Reynolds. That they are marginally more aero than a box section clincher is a big negative in my books - they just dont feel as though they hold speed as well over 30km/h. Apart from that, the hubs, braking, weight and feel are among the best.

But 21C with an even wider rim would be nicer. And they need a lower option e.g. 47mm.
