Broke my meilenstein rear. Which has been getting repaired for ages ( over 12 months) So thought i would snap up a loos3 lightweight standard clincher for 1000 australian. It turned up today with a chip out of the brake track but more concerningly a crack above that on the lip of the clincher hook. It is raised slightly. Return? Ride? Repair?

It looks like the layers are delaminating. I would not ride it especially on a clincher with all the sidewall pressure.

If the damage wasn't mentioned before you bought it, I would ask for your money back. !!!
How come it's been 12 months to repair your wheel. ?

Thanks kevosinn, i respect your opinion. I thought that might be what is going on. The brake track looks like it has had a hard life.

I agree that if that "fault" was not made mention of i would be looking to get my $'s back. I certainly would ride it without repair/checking but a recognised carbon specialist.

Yeah I have contacted him and am getting refunded. The lightweight has been repaired and returned but wasn't straight and was sent back and is now on its way back from repair again. But I saw this for sale and figured if the repaired wheel isn't straight again then at least i have a backup. Frustrating situation. Makes a full retail wheel seem cheap.
