Road Bike Review says they are "game changing"! I found it a bit odd they described every morsel you receive in accessories when buying the wheels. And named Portugal as the country where the hubs are made. But failed to mention the weight of the wheels. I guess Road Bike Review considers weight meaningless while knowing your hubs are made in that mecca of science and industry known as Portugal is important. They also spent a lot of time talking about whales and shark skin and fins and gliding through the water.
Zipp what are you doing

"When integrated into a wheel rim, Ballard explained “tubercles don’t work because they create more drag. They create more high pressure, low pressure areas on the surface of a wheel resulting in a net drag increase.”"

From article:
Why do we not see aeroplanes or helicopters with them? Perhaps we will.
Zipp also states in their own video that "The humpback has tubercles whale when it's taking sharp turns"
747 and 737MAX kind of have them already... Airplane wings however do not exactly take "sharp turns"
