What wheels should I buy?
Moderator: robbosmans
I am big into cycling, looking for a new set of race wheels for next year something preferably between 50 and 60mm rims. As I am a youth cyclist I will be using these for TT's aswel. I'm looking strongly at the Zipp firecrests but can't make up my mind.

Assuming you're not going to splash out on Lightweight or Corimas, how about Mavic Cosmic Carbon Ultimates? Not as deep as you would like, but light, and great for racing.
Beware going too deep, as although good for the TT's you may find them a handful and not reactive enough in a race.
There are many, many makes of 50mm carbon tubs out there all doing the same thing as the Zipps. I would concentrate on price, guarantee and hub quality over splitting hairs on weight or aero, (which are going to be so close as to not make a difference).
