Has anyone tried tune schwarzbrenner 38t?

Hi,

I have the option of getting a pair of schwarzbrenner 38 tubulars for a good price and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with those.
I'm concerned with braking and with the weight limit. I weigh 75 killos which is ok, but the limit itself doesn't sound reassuring..
The wheels are light (lighter than I need) and that worries me, I like things to be bombproof.
I'm also considering vision metron 40 (they look very robust) and dura ace c50 (for the brake track and the hubs) , both clinchers.

What do you think?

I've decided to go with the Schwarzbrenners. I'll come back with a review when I get them on the bike.

Very good rims (Xentis) and cool, light hubs. Maybe not the most durable or stiffest... I would go for it.

As far as I know, tune hasn't used xentis rims for these wheels... Correct me if I'm wrong.

They used Xentis rims but maybe their new, wider rims, are something different.

No, it's not Xentis rims. These rims are made in Asia.

It shouldn't be a problem. The rims are not super thin.

It shouldn't be a problem. The rims are not super thin.

Honestly, based on the max rider weight, I fear there might be low tension in the spokes, which would make this Wheelset a bad investment for me.
Now, since I already ordered them, it's too late, let's hope they're ok..

Ax Lightness even uses higher torque value than this!
I checked with Tune and Ax.

I can assure you i got in contact with Tune directly some time ago when i considered using these wheels for a road, gravel and trail bike.
The rims are not built weak either. It's made the cope. I know Tune seller up here has guys riding these for CX races and it's working very well.

Probably assured safety limits due to German laws.

If any concerns, i think you should get back to Petra and ask her to ask Harry in person. Then you for sure got it nailed!

EDIT: Maybe those 75Kg's were for the older Schwarzbrenner rims!?
I have no data to back it up, but i suspect it is.
