Swap my Roval CLX 40 against Zipp 404?

Zipps are good wheels, especially the 404s. I'd much rather consider, if I need 58 mm wheels than 40 mm wheels. That should be the question. Not Zipp vs. Roval.

Not sure i really need deeper wheels... but i tried zipp 404 a couple years ago and i felt like i was flying. dont get that feeling from my Roval.

CLX 64 is faster than the 404.

Even in a "watts saved per mm depth" comparison? I know the charts from the Venge Vias thread, but I do wonder how much of the difference is down to the differnce in rim depth.

Personally, as mentioned previously, I'd go with the Roval CLX64 over Zipp 404 as well (especially if I already had other Roval wheels and could try and get a good deal by trading them for the "upgrade" with my Specialized dealer).

I love the hate for Zipps!! I solely ride and race 404s & 202s for the past 4 years and have had zero issues. In fact I know a number of others who have multiple sets of Zipps with absolutely no hub issues. Maybe we are all the lucky ones.

Count me as another one of the lucky ones...

I also have Zipp 202FC's and 404FS's and have zero complaints, love them.
