They look promising for WW builds, but I wouldnt like to be an early adopter on this kind of stuff at this price.

I will be looking forward to see Sapim's innovation come to fruition and Extralite make compatible hubs, that would be soooooo amazing! As a side note, a Taiwanese company has been making carbon spokes for some time…
About 2 years ago I searched the web for carbon spokes and this piqued my interest:

The site's content hasn't been renewed much since I last visted, so I assumed the carbon spokes may be just vaporware. Recently a much hyped wheelset mentioned by a few in Taiwan's bike forums grabbed my attention, the carbon spokes are exactly the stuff made by the aforementioned company.

But there's a problem keeping me from trying to get hold of these spokes for trial. If you scroll down the acmbike page, there's a tensile test report. The first property I looked for was Young's modulus(stiffness), which is laughably low, only 1267kgf/cm2=0.1243GPa. In comparison, 18/10 stainless steel has a modulus of 193GPa - more than 1000 times as stiff!? Moreover the carbon spokes by acmbike are only 2mm in diameter(maybe to accommodate normal hubs and simplify manufacturing), I just can't fathom why such noodle-like spokes could make rideble wheels? I know only basic mechanics of materials, so correct me if I'm wrong.
