I've got a pair of Dengfu carbon clincher rims with about 12K miles on them. They are perfectly true and have held up well. Mostly ridden in SoCal with no rain and good roads. I have primarily used SwissStop Black Prince pads with these. I've noticed they are making more noise lately. I've cleaned the brakes pads and see how that works. At what point do you replace the rims? The worst descents I take these on are about 1 mile at 6% with minimal braking. Thanks for the help!

Basically when you feel the brake force decrease dramatically, it's time to replace. No matter for overheating or reaching endurance limit.
I didn't seen the abrasion mark hole on carbon rims as on Alu ones very often.
