I picked up some 2012 Zipp 404's recently that are 16/20H
I'm rebuilding the rear with an 11speed hub, but unsure what lacing pattern to request.

Would radial NDS/2x DS be ok?
I'm 183lb and not a particularly powerful sprinter type.

Radial/2x or 2x/2x, both with heavier spokes DS would probably work well if the hub doesn't have fancy flanges.

ChrisKing r45 hub, so thicker spokes could be an option but I was preferring bladed CX-Rays

I would go for 2x both sides.

404 is a stiff rim so you need a certain stiffness in the spokes to resist brake rub. Go with what ergott and Rex suggest.

Given the limited number of spokes, I'd go 2x/2x. The added stiffness won't hurt.

OK cheers, 2x/2x it is!

I was happy to use CX-Rays but happy to go DT-Swiss also.

I think you'd be fine with CX-Rays then if it's built well. Aero Comps that Eric mentioned are stiffer and still aero and don't require hub slotting. You can lace the NDS radial if you want so long as you aren't mashing steep climbs.

Aero Comps stiffer than CX-Rays ?

I had been under the impression that both are pretty much identical, but it comes down to personal preference.
I've had more Sapims (Race DB) break on me that DT's, but Sapims are that little bit cheaper where I am.

Aero Comp is a thicker gauge than Aerolite. It still fits in a standard sized hole in the hub.

Ah I didn't spot the difference.
Stronger, aero and likely cheaper for just 30g.... sold!

Thanks

at your weight I'd be using radial NDS for sure.. The small loss in bracing angle will be massively offset by the 15% gain in NDS tension.
I've rebuilt a few into t11 hubs and they come out great!
If your concerned about brake rub and lateral stability then 2x and radial is a winner
