I am looking for a set of valve extenders that do not leak out for a set of HED stinger 5's. I have a set of the standard HED extenders that I had laying around. They seem to leak out the end.
I am looking for a set that has the removeable core so I can see the pressure when I put air in the tires. The standard HED's are not like that.
What are a few of the better brands that are on the market.

Thanks Brian

Did you use Teflon tape?

I asked because I used several different types of no-name extenders, ones that fit over the valve and ones that relocate the valve, and I've never had leakage problems.

Use the Vittoria brass ones, if you want to ensure success. You still need the Teflon tape, though.

I use tubes with removable valve cores and Problem Solvers extenders. Put pipe dope sparingly at the interface between the tube and the extender. Don't apply pipe dope between the valve core and the extender. Mine have been leak-free for a good long while now. Putting the valve core at the end of the extender also allows you to read the pressure as you inflate like you want. You can also lock the valve closed for riding.

I just take the presta core out. Screw in the extender, I've used all manner of makes. Presta back in and pump. None of them have leaked so far? I've lost the pressure via the latex tubes?

I bought a set of the Silca ones last year, and they have worked very well.

I just put a couple of layers of sealing tape (used for plumming). Works like a charm!
