Gluing on MTB Tubulars

Thought this may be better in here than in the MTB forum:

I've recently picked up some 650B carbon tub rims and some Dugast Fast Birds for my XC race bike. When I used to glue my ex teams wheels for CX I used glue and tape (i.e. the Belgian method). However with the wider rim bed and tyres is this advisable? Is there a wider tub tape to account for the wider rims?

Or should I just use glue on it's own? I'm not averse to doing this, I'd just feel happier doing it the way I have spent years doing!

I run my mtb tub with glue only. The bond is very strong and the tub never moves. I use mtb tubs more than mtb tubeless. Never combined tape and glue never found the need too.
