Current wheels are Corima Aero at 47mm profile for varied terrain. These are clinchers and they roll well...

Narrowed down to these 2 choices where rolling hills and hill climbs are the main highlights:

Corima Viva S @ 32mm profile

Vision Metron @ 40mm profile

What do people here think of them? Both are clinchers.

Should one be concerned of the pair spokes lacing on the Viva S or the hybrid ceramic bearings in the Metron?

Thank you.

Does the Viva S use paired spokes or their weird 12:8 pattern? Either way I wouldn't be concerned with it.

For this application I chose a 35mm carbon clincher, which is also a popular choice among pros. It isn't the most aero, but it is stable in crosswinds. I think any of the choices you've listed would serve you well. You should be sure about the Vision wheel weight before you buy. I've seen them list numbers that are not in line with what owners report.

Thanks.

Did check out Shimano C35 clinchers as well. Just not that 'sexy' a choice away from my Aero, being alu reinforced CF laminate wheel

Any others to share experiences?

If speeds don't drop below 15 kph, aero will trump a 150g weight saving.

Recommendation: Get a set of 23-25mm wide 50mm profile wheels :)
U-shape for crosswind stability.

Seems the implied choice is to continue using the Aero 47?

Going lower profile yet with some aero consideration, my thoughts were to respond better to uphill attacks

I use 50mm deep 25mm wide wheels on rolling terrain you might even call it hilly using a shallower wheel would not make me faster. Aero wins all the time.
