Hey guys, I'm looking for a set of carbon wheels and I've narrowed my choices down to ENVE 3.4 tubulars laced with DT240 or FFWD F4r tubulars also laced with DT240. I don't know which one is better and so I want to get some advice from you guys. Thanks

the ENVEs are going to be way more expensive than the FFWDs. you get what you pay for. the FFWDs aren't BAD wheels, especially for the money, but the ENVEs are better but also much more expensive.

Enve has a wider rim than FFWD so it suits better with wider tires. I would put Ax Lightness Stream 38 on that list to (with Tune hubs).
Lighter than both of these options and also a wide rim. Cost should be lower than Enve but higher than FFWD.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

Enves are top wheels but I find their price tag extreme

Apart from the expense, my main gripe with Enve is the internal nipples. Having to remove the tub to true the wheel would be a PITA.

FFWD have been used in pro cycling level so you won't have any issues. Chinese rims and good hubs-spokes will do the job fine.
OTOH the quality of Enve's rims is much higher. Will this quality reflect in terms of performance? Probably not but the quality is always there.

ENVE rims are hugely expensive at least in Europe vs much of the competition

I would take ENVE if the cost was the same, but would rather have FFWDs plus the cash (or even Boras regardless of cost). Have had a set of F4R tubs for a few years and they compare very well with top-end carbon competition

Previously owned a set of F4Rs tubbies with DT Swiss 240s hubs; just took delivery of a new set of F4Rs tubbies with FFWD own hubs and next week I'm expecting delivery of a set of F4Rs tubbies with DT Swiss 180 hubs! FFWD build a good wheel that's user friendly, easy maintained and comes at a decent price.
