Hello, first post here - long time lurker.
Long and short of it is that I raced yesterday and got caught up in a crash. Walked away with two tiny pinprick holes in my skin and a slightly tender knee, the guy underneath me slightly less well off. Thought my bike had escaped unscathed too, until I clocked these gouges in the front rim this morning. None of them seem particularly deep - am I into this for a replacement rim or can I just polish the burrs off - descending grades of paper to something like a 600 grit?
And if I am into it for a replacement rim - anyone got an online source?
Cheers,
Simon

No, I can't feel anything. Thinking I will sand the burrs off, do a few big stops, then change the brake pads in case there's any shards or grit.
Quick pass with some wet n dry.
Check the pads. Run for another couple of years.
That's what I did with a gouged rim. Worse than that. (You could actually feel the pulsing under braking for the first ~500km, one wet ride sorted it out!)

Yep, lucky this time. Quite happy to keep all my teeth, thanks - don't want them falling out next time I hit cobbles...
Thanks for the replies - happier now I've checked!
