Hope it's OK to jump in here. I have the Ksyrium discs and have to say they are very nice. I was so impressed that I picked up a set of Aksiums as well. Other than weight, the Aksiums don't give up too much to the Ksyriums in performance. The Star bike prices on these were fantastic, especially with the Euro being where it is against the US dollar. Both sets of these wheels have the quietest rear hubs I've had in more than 15 years of various Mavic road and mountain wheels. They are available in centerlock, also, which is a big bonus if you want to run the Shimano freeza rotors. You'll need the supplemental Shimano "thru-axle" lock ring for mounting center lock rotors to either wheelset.

I got the Aksium Discs as well. Took me an age to get all those silly rim stickers off though. I like the way the hubs are convertible - I got a little worried when one of the inserts popped out before realizing they only press in with hand pressure.

Yes, lots of stickers on both the Aksiums and the Ksyriums. I'll bet the wheels look great without them. I left the Aksiums alone but trimmed off the yellow part of the Ksyrium stickers and that made them a lot more pleasing to look at. I like those beefy front hubs, too.
