Considering buying a set of Mavic Carbone SLE. Does anybody have an idea of their rim width. I would also be interested to hear user feedback. Cheers

I have the sls. There narrow more of a traditional rim with a v shape. Sidewinds will catch them. As for how they ride. I had only ever ridden my stock wheels on my old giant so not alot to compare to. Seems easy to keep speed up when you get there. Especially when you get to 35 kph and above but this could be due to wheels or new frame i dont know.

<21mm width with roughly a 19mm inner rim width.

As the poster says above, they do catch sidewinds although are manageable. They are also practically bomb proof and I've hit many nasty bumps/potholes for them to survive admirably. Wet weather braking is not bad either, though not as good as the exalith I would imagine.

I have a little experience with them, but more with the SLRs. Good braking, bombproof, reliable. Everything you expect out of Mavic. Older design and not as aero or light as newer wheelsets however.
