I'll give these wheels a proper beating to see how they hold up. Here are the cliff-notes.

No brake track so lighter than the SL23
Wider internal width of 20mm (vs 18mm)
So far built up nice and easy just like the SL23s I've built
Market availability, soon

I decided that the White Industries CLD hubs and DT Aero Comp spokes would be a fitting way to finish things up.

Any chance they'll be making an SL25 rim brake rim that would compete with the HED Belgium +?

These rims have a tubeless shape as well. What's new is that the center channel is deeper than the SL23 for easier tire install. I swapped over my Hutchinson Secteur tires onto these rims and used no tools at all. Inflation was also just as easy, used my floor pump*. Granted this was a used tire. Still, I was impressed with how easy the installation was. I feel better knowing that I can work on the tire in the winter months with cold, bare hands and the job will be quick.

* I use a Joe Blow Ace which has a 3 stage pump. The 60psi setting is high volume and I've found I don't need to use a compressor anymore.

Have been anxiously awaiting these to show up. Build weight on that set?

The rims have arrived stateside as well. They are ready for builds.

Keep in mind, the rim has the same finish as the SL23. The finish on the rims I got were an experiment.

How was the tension with tubeless tyres?

I haven't found any rim that doesn't drop at least some tension. With the tires installed I added a half turn to the rotor side (RS) front and DS rear. Then I did a final truing.

Sounds good. It seemed that people had less of an issue with the SL23 compared to say Alpha's or AM Classic's so I guess you'd expect this rim to be similar (or even better) but it's good to know for sure.
