I think you'll find that the Shim C50's are 23mm wide. Not a 25 (as the HED), but definitely not exactly a narrow rim like the older 19mm width wheels. For everyday reliability, that revered hub i'd go the C50's. I actually wish I had got them, instead of my Reynolds Assaults (not that I dislike them btw!).

I'm building the Chinese 50mm rims w/ aluminum brake tracks to BHS hubs and Sapim Lasers this winter to be my race wheels for next season, I'll make a post when I get done. So far, the rims look good, a little over weight (530+/- for each), but should still build up under 1600 grams.

Why bother with aero wheels for training? I don't think many would recommend anything by zipp for endurance and reliability purposes.
